The Canteen
Located in the Poolaw Building at the National Museum of Military Vehicles, The Canteen is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the winter and early spring. Whether you're visiting the museum or passing through Dubois, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a great burger, a fresh sandwich, or a scoop of delicious ice cream.

The Sherman
A classic cheeseburger with all the fixings, grilled and topped with cheese.
The Patton
Smash style patty topped with grilled onions, choice of cheese and our house-made burger sauce.
Fire Dragon
A burger with spice, topped with jalapenos, green chiles, our house-made chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese.
Laramie Gray
A classic with a twist, instead of a grilled beef patty try a grilled buffalo patty.
Cowboy Thunder
Just like the bison that roams the prairie this grilled buffalo patty comes with a kick, topped with jalapenos, green chiles, chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese.

A fully loaded grilled cheese, bacon, mushrooms, onions and tomato with melted slices of cheddar and Swiss.
Chaffee
Buttermilk breaded and deep fried chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, house-made ranch and cheese. Order it as a sandwich or wrap.
Hellcat
Ever seen a turkey cause a fire? No! This might be a first! Deli turkey, bacon, house-made chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese.
Walker Bulldog
Slow roasted and thin sliced buffalo, house-made BBQ and shredded cheese on toasted sourdough. Simple and delicious at the same time.

Grilled Cheese

Grilled and shredded chicken, Frank’s buffalo sauce, tangy blue cheese crumbles, with cheddar cheese on sourdough.
Deli Ham and Bacon
Ham? Check. Bacon? Check. Swiss and Cheddar? Check. Add our house-made honey mustard and this sandwich will hit all the right notes.
Roasted Buffalo
Slow roasted, thin sliced buffalo, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion. A cup of our soup of the day sounds like a perfect match.

Gamma Goat
3 crispy buttermilk breaded chicken strips, choice of dipping sauce, and a side will rest the mind of the pickiest of eaters.
Ontos
A plate full of tater tots, house-made buffalo chili, queso, lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapenos and shredded cheese. Share it with the family or have it to yourself, just be prepared to take a box to go.
Mechanical Mule
A grilled buffalo bratwurst topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms, shredded cheese on a toasted hoagie roll.

Crispy Chicken Salad
Yes, those same buttermilk breaded and deep fried chicken strips, on top a bed of chopped romaine, spinach, carrots, tomato, onion and creamy blue cheese crumbles. Try one of our house-made dressings to drizzle on top.
Chef Salad
Chopped deli turkey and ham, freshly chopped romaine, spinach, carrots, onions, tomatoes, shredded cheese. Comes with choice of house-made dressing.

Buffalo Chili
House-made buffalo (bison) chili, a slight bite, a hearty bowl and topped with shredded cheese and diced onions. Grab a cup, grab a bowl, take some to go, there is always plenty to go around.
Beverages
The Canteen offers a variety of Coke and Pepsi products in 20oz bottles, coffee, and espresso based drinks.
Ice Cream
The best for last. Stop in to The Canteen for 8 different flavors of delicious creamy Cascade Glacier Ice Cream. Topped with a choice of two (2) toppings on a cone or dish. Grab a single or double scoop.
If a milkshake or malt is calling your name, we make those too. Choose the ice cream flavor, throw in a mix in or two, we do the work while you sit back and enjoy an old fashioned milkshake.
For the adults we offer a variety of boozy shakes from the Leprechaun with mint chocolate chip ice cream, Jameson Irish whiskey and Bailey’s Irish cream to the Sunrise in Hawaii with Maui Waui sherbet, Cabo Wabo tequila and lime.
