Celebrate America’s 250th at the National Museum of Military Vehicles
Schedule of Events
7:30 a.m. — The Canteen Opens
The Canteen, NMMV’s on-site dining option, will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Grab a tasty meal or a delicious scoop of ice cream!
9 a.m. — The Exhibits Open
The Museum exhibits will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests will have the chance to climb inside a tank and enjoy all activities with Museum admission!
10 a.m. — Vehicle Rides
Vehicle rides will be available to Museum guests from 10 to 11 a.m. on a circular route around the Museum grounds. Guests must have a Museum wristband to ride.
11 a.m. — Tank and Weapon Demonstrations
The NMMV team will provide tank and machine-gun firing demonstrations and a vehicle-crush demonstration in the outdoor demonstration area from 11 a.m. to noon.
Noon — Lunch Break
Special activities will pause from noon to 1:30 p.m. Have lunch in The Canteen or enjoy a buffet lunch available for purchase in the USS Wyoming Room.
1:30 p.m. — Speakers and Presentations
Listen to Dan Starks, founder of the National Museum of Military Vehicles, and Steven Friess, founder of Jackson Hole Classical Academy, each speak on “America’s 250th.”
Watch a video overview of the Korean War, followed by Shayne Jarosz’s lecture, “The Battle of the Chosin Reservoir,” and a question-and-answer session.
2:45 p.m. — Vehicle Rides
Vehicle rides for Museum guests will resume from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
3:30 p.m. — Tank and Weapons Demonstration
A second tank-and-weapons demonstration will be presented, and another car will be crushed!
5 p.m. — Appetizers, Drinks and Dinner
Join us for appetizers, drinks and a special ticketed dinner in the USS Wyoming and Cowboy Guard rooms.
