The National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois, Wyoming, is a 160,000-square-foot museum housing fully restored military vehicles including tanks, along with significant firearms and artifacts, dedicated to honoring veterans, educating visitors on American military history, and preserving historic military equipment.

Our Mission

Our Mission

To honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans and their families; To educate the public on the history of American freedom; To preserve and share historic military vehicles.

This vehicle on display at the National Museum of Military Vehicles is an M551 Sheridan, a light airborne reconnaissance tank used by the U.S. Army.
An exhibit about the evolution of helmets is part of the rotating exhibits & WWI displays in the General George S. Patton Jr. Gallery at the National Museum of Military Vehicles.
Dan Starks, founder of the National Museum of Military Vehicles, guides visitors on one of the museum’s free, expert-led tours, sharing insights into the collection and the stories behind the artifacts.

The Museum offers complimentary guided tours included in all admissions.

Wednesday-Sunday
10 AM The General George C. Marshall Gallery tour covers the history of The Second World
War.

1:30 PM The General Lewis “Chesty” Puller Gallery tour focuses on the American experience during the wars in Korea and Vietnam.

The Canteen, located within the National Museum of Military Vehicles’ new Poolaw Building, is a great dining spot for visitors and tourists.

2019

Wyoming Legislature Honors Museum

The Wyoming Legislature has acknowledged Dan and Cynthia Starks for their significant contributions to the state’s tourism industry through the establishment of the National Museum of Military Vehicles. In an informal joint resolution, the Legislature commended the Starks for their efforts in opening the museum near Dubois, highlighting its role not only as a tourist attraction but also as a venue that honors veterans.
